Rural first aid courses in the Waikato

St John and Waikato Federated Farmers are running a number of first aid courses for all rural people in various locations throughout the Waikato from November 7 to December 16.

The courses are open to everyone, not just Federated Farmers members – and the more people who attend each course, the cheaper the rate. The minimum number required is 12 with a maximum of 20 on each course.

This is a First Aid Level 1 Course and costs $100 each if 12 sig n up and $90 each if 16 people sign up. If 20 people attend it’s $80 each. The normal price for each participant in a 12-person course is $169.

Organisers are encouraging anyone keen to take part to bring along their neighbours too as if there are not enough registrations for a course, then people may have to travel to their next nearest town to attend. Refreshments are provided but bring your own lunch.

Courses will run from 8am-5pm at a St Johns Building in the areas listed.

The dates and location are: November 7 at Te Awamutu; November 11 at Te Kuiti; November 17 at Otorohanga; November 18 at Raglan; November 24 at Tokoroa; December 1 at Morrinsville; December 2 at Cambridge; December 5 at Hamilton; December 12 at Te Aroha; December 16 at Huntly. To register, email Gaylene Bamford of Federated Farmers of New Zealand at: gbamford@fedfarm.org.nz or phone 07 858 0820 or 0800 327 646.
